Kerikeri : My heart.
I couldn't believe my eyeballs when I visited the Far North for the first time in 2008. I had just had my first baby in Dunedin & my husband had applied for a temporary position at the other end of the country, flying over the Bay of Islands and right up to Cape Reinga.
I was near the beginning of my photography career and enjoying photographing babies and weddings. My style hadn't developed yet, but that was all set to change the second I photographed a child in the lush greeness of the native bush... I was hooked... like forever... obsessed with greeness... and when i found bright green moss! Oh my goodness my world was complete.

We loved it so much up there that we ended up staying for six years. We purchased a home with a beautiful studio overlooking Kerikeri Inlet and welcomed two more babies into our family.
We left Kerikeri in 2015 with a very heavy heart but return once of twice a year to visit our incredible friends & regular clients. Outdoor newborn session
An outdoor newborn shoot isn’t the first thing that pops into your head when booking your newborn photoshoot. I want to change that! Babies and nature, so much green - what could be more beautiful! These sessions are also great for older kiddos too, giving everyone the opportunity to get out in the fresh air. The shoot below was photographed in Titirangi, Auckland. I have recently photographed the most beautiful Dunedin family in the bush midwinter with their little bundle all wrapped up nice and snug!
You can choose to have your entire newborn session outside or just add it onto your studio shoot. Doing both gives you the best of both worlds with unwrapped studio portraits that capture every detail right down to those tiny toes.

Wanting something a little bit different?Our studio is conveniently located in Central Dunedin, this means you can include outdoor images as part of your portrait session or we can do the entire shoot outside if weather allows. These shoots are great for busy families or for those nature lovers. The studio is a short 2 minute drive from a beautiful Dunedin location. These really are magical sessions.
